The control of pests can be carried out by various formulations. The task of the formulation-technique is to process biocide ingredients to a special product for specific application methods (spraying, injecting, fogging, painting, etc.). The principle is: The more selective biocides are used, the smaller are product quantities and perhaps problems with humans, animals and environment.
The choice of a certain method of control depends on the kind of pest, size of the room, kind of the room and spread of infestation - there is also a difference between active and passive method of control.
The active method brings the biocide directly to the pest (fogging, spraying, painting, etc.). In general, the success is rapidly visible.
With the passive methods, the pest must come to the biocide (spray deposit, powder, bait, etc.). Normally, there is a delayed success.
Both methods of control can be combined.
For example: First spray a band with a biocide which has a long lasting residual effect (Detmol-concentrates or insecticidal lacquers), afterwards space spray or mist spray with a flushing biocide. Or: detect the hiding places of the cockroaches, then spot spray with a biocide which has a long lasting residual effect (Detmol or SchwabEX).
Use biocidal products with care. Always read the label and product information before use. Always read the label and product information before use.
